missing myspace

Nasty sinus headache today, and for some reason I decided to pop over to MyCrack. I started reading some of my old blog entries, and realized that I really, REALLY had fun blogging over there. Honestly? I only stopped because of the inane comments that some people left as responses to my thoughts. I wish I could transfer the whole doggone blog here to this blogspot place, but I can't. HOWEVER: I have decided that I am going to share a few of those old blogs here (quite a few!) for my own personal future reference. So...................here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I guess now I need to figure out how to get into my old blog over at Yahoo 360!! Hahahahaha!!)

I just happened to be in Walmart today and strolled through the "music" section. (By that I mean cds which is basically all you can buy anymore) It has been reduced to one rack....all genres together, alphabetically. In other words, AC/DC, Hank Williams, Lady Gaga, and TuPac Shakur are all together on one shelf, and a tiny little shelf at that. I found it quite sad.

And people wonder why I am so down on technology.

Guess I've become and old fuddy duddy, but EVERYTHING being digital and online scares me. A LOT. Guess I'll go download Clapton's new cd, OLD SOCK, now. Sigh.

Flower Power........

Was reading and listening to the band SWEET earlier tonight. I had *totally* forgotten about this song....but it's my THEME: (Well, except for the fact that I'm not a MAN.....lol!)

Sixties Man:

Take me now, I think I'm a simple man
Just need some lovin' and an easy living plan
But everyday now someone pulls my line
Shakes me up and says 'hey you gotta get in time'
Sunny days are over and gone for good
Shape up boy, you ain't working like you should
Well I know now I'm a man out of his place
Don't have a 1980's kind of face

Chorus
'cos I'm a sixties man at last I know it's true
Woodstock nights, oh where are you?
Strawberry Fields and San Francisco too
'cos I'm a sixties man at heart and baby so are you
'cos I'm a sixties man at heart and baby so are you

Flower power you never knew so much pain
Sitting 'round, loving in and loving out again
Oh the seventies I found I hardly knew
They left me high and dry and I know why

Chorus
Cos I'm a sixties man, Bob Dylan where are you?

I'm a sixties man at last I know it's true
A sixties man at heart like you

I'm a sixties man at last I know it's true
A sixties man at heart like you
